I have always been really good at hiding and transporting food.

The next time you see me, ask me what’s in my bag. The odds are that I’ll probably pull out an entire meal in a container, a full water bottle, and several snacks.

I know that many of you are busy people who move around and travel quite a bit. Whether this means that you take several airplane flights each year, or drive to work each day, it’s important to have portable and healthy food available so that you can support your body throughout the day. Through my weekly newsletter, I often provide you with easy and mobile options that you can pack in your bag, cooler, purse, or picnic basket.

Here’s my first suggestion:

The “Burrito In A Container”

You’ll need a small container with a lid to transport the ingredients for inside your burrito or taco. Chop up and put all of the ingredients that you’d like into this container. Pick from black beans, chopped tomato, sliced green onion, sauteed veggies, avocado, lettuce, salsa or black olives. Carry organic corn tortillas separately in their own bag, or in a container so that they are not touching the other ingredients and getting soggy.

When you’re ready to eat, simply pour all of the mixed ingredients onto the tortilla, wrap it up however you want, and enjoy!
