I didn’t dress up for Halloween this year. Well, for a moment I realized that everything I was wearing was very “Kate Middleton,” and I probably could have passed for the Duchess of Cambridge. Maybe next year.

This year, I dressed up on the inside, because I’ve been playing a game of make-believe that promises better results than any game I’ve ever played.

I’m pretending.

Pretending does not mean lying. It means creating a different reality inside of your mind. It’s creating an image of what you’d like your life to become.

A game of pretend has the power to take you further than any game you are currently playing that is focused on struggle.
A game of pretend isn’t about exhausting work activities that aren’t any fun. For me, I know that this game will bring my deepest desires to me. It will chart a course of travel around the world, bring speaking opportunities, and it will match the perfect clients to me.

What would you like to bring into your own life?

Maybe you desire the money to travel several times a year, because you know that vacations bring you a feeling of ease, exploration, and appreciation. Maybe you desire love and romance so you can feel blissfully happy, and appreciate the warmth of companionship. Perhaps your aim is to be on stage to share your message with a group of interested listeners.

Your visions will pull you forward, and reality will start to form as you envision it in your mind.

Pretend you are living the life you want like every day is Halloween.
~ Dress like your future self
~ Make decisions as though your future self is the one making them
~ Imagine the locations your future self travels to every year, and go there in your mind
~ Pretend that your ideal amount of money is waiting in your bank account
~ Wear the jewelry that your future self would wear
~ See yourself as the entrepreneur you’d like to be (maybe you’re an author, or you often collaborate with some of the biggest names in your industry.)

Pretend right now, and pretty soon, the visions that were just “make-believe” will become real.
